Applying for registration in the list of architects

Description

The professional title "architect" or "architect", "interior designer", "garden and landscape architect", "garden and landscape architect", "urban planner" or "urban planner" may only be used by those who are entered under the corresponding designation in the list of architects of the State Chamber of Architects.

Prerequisite

You have the professional qualification according to the State Architects Act.

The State Architects Act contains differentiated registration requirements (e.g. regarding the completion of training). It is therefore advisable to contact the Chamber of Architects in good time.

By registering, you become a member of the Chamber. Associated with the membership is the building submission authorization.

Which documents are required?

The application of natural persons for registration on the list of architects must contain the following information:

Surname
Forename
Date of birth
academic degrees
Address of the principal place of residence and of any establishment or place of predominant employment
Proof of required education:
- completed training at a university or equivalent educational institution and at least two years of practical experience in the relevant field of study, or
- at least eight years of practical experience in the relevant field and passing an examination at university level before the registration committee
Discipline in which registration is to be made (architect, interior designer, garden and landscape architect or urban planner)
Type of employment (freelance, salaried, civil servant, construction)
