If you wish to work as a trainer in a recognised training occupation, you must provide proof that you have the necessary vocational and work pedagogical skills, knowledge and abilities.

The certificate must meet the requirements of the Trainer Aptitude Ordinance (AEVO). As a rule, it must be carried out in an examination which is carried out by the competent authority. You will be issued with a certificate of passing the exam.

The AEVO applies to all trainers who wish to train in recognised training occupations in accordance with the Vocational Training Act. The only exception is training in the field of members of the liberal professions.

Upon request, the competent authority may exempt you from the obligation to provide proof if you demonstrate your suitability as a vocational and work pedagogical profession in another way and if proper training is ensured. This may be the case, for example, with many years of training experience outside the scope of the AEVO.
