Apply for information from the population register vis-à-vis parties and voter groups

Description

In the 6 months prior to an election in connection with parliamentary and local elections, parties, groups of voters and other representatives of nominations may obtain the following information on persons entitled to vote from the population register:

first and last names,
Doctorate
current address.

If the person in question has died, this will be communicated.

What deadlines do I have to pay attention to?

The information is only possible in the 6 months before an election.

This data may only be used for advertising in an election or vote and must be deleted or destroyed no later than one month after the election or vote.

What else should I know?

The registration authority cannot provide any information if there is a blocking of information or if a blocking notice is entered in the population register. Furthermore, every data subject has the possibility to object to the transfer of his or her data.
