The disposal of waste from private households and other disposal waste from other areas of origin is the responsibility of the public waste disposal authorities (districts and independent cities). Regulations on the waste disposal system applicable in each case and individual provisions are laid down in the statutes. These include, among other things, information on waste fees, waste containers (prescribed size of waste garbage can, ordering options), waste calendars (collection intervals, route schedules of hazardous waste collection vehicles), collection and return systems for various types of waste (e.g. green waste, e-scrap, paper), disposal of organic waste, bulky waste disposal and the types of waste permitted for disposal in the gray garbage can.
