Submit travel and transportation expenses for medical treatment in case of occupational accident or disease

Description

If you have suffered an occupational accident recognized by the statutory accident insurance or are suffering from an occupational disease, you can submit associated costs for reimbursement.

Costs that may be covered by your statutory accident insurance provider include, for example

Travel costs using public transportation,
Travel costs with private motor vehicles,
Travel costs by other means of transport (for example, cab or ambulance),
Travel costs (for example, board and lodging costs),
costs of luggage transport.

Your travel expenses are generally reimbursed for 2 family home trips per month. Alternatively, 2 trips by your dependents to your place of residence may be covered.

If you need an accompanying person due to your state of health, the travel costs for this person can also be reimbursed.

If your companion has lost work earnings due to the companionship, the earnings may be reimbursed under certain circumstances if the reimbursement is in reasonable proportion to care costs otherwise incurred.

Requirements

You have had a recognized accident at work or on the way to work.
You suffer from a recognized occupational disease.
The costs are related to the consequences of the occupational accident or disease.

Process flow

You can submit travel and transportation expenses for medical treatment for an occupational injury or illness online or by mail.

Access the online service.
You will be guided through the process on the Accident Insurance Service Portal.
You can log in.
- If you would like to receive the response from your employers' liability insurance association or accident insurance fund in the mailbox of your BundID account or My Company Account, you must have an account and authenticate yourself.
- If you would like to receive the response by mail, you can also proceed without logging in.
Select your responsible employers' liability insurance association or accident insurance fund or determine it using the industry search.
Upload the required documents.
Fill out the online form and submit it.
Your report will be automatically forwarded to your employers' liability insurance association or accident insurance fund.
You will receive a response via the requested channel.
