If you complete an apprenticeship in a recognised training occupation in accordance with the Vocational Training Act (BBiG), a final examination is taken at the end of the training. The final examination is approved by the competent authority (usually a chamber).

In order to take part in the final examination, you must be admitted to the examination by the competent authority. Details on the subject matter and procedure of the examination can be found in the respective training regulations and the examination regulations of the responsible body.

After passing the examination, you will receive an examination certificate from the responsible authority. You can request that the certificate also show the result of the vocational school achievements. Also upon request, your certificate will be accompanied by an English-language and a French-language translation.
