Apply for parking facilitation for severely disabled persons

Description

Under certain conditions, severely disabled people are granted permission to park in places where this is not normally permitted. Eligible persons can also use the parking concessions as a passenger. A driver's license is not required.

In Saxony-Anhalt, 3 different parking permits are issued and recognized:

The "Blue Parking Permit" (EU-wide)
The "Orange parking permit" (nationwide)
The "White Parking Permit" (only in Saxony-Anhalt)

The blue parking permit:

This parking permit is issued for people with an exceptional walking disability or for blind people. With this parking permit, you can park in a disabled parking space (parking spaces with a wheelchair symbol) in all EU member states. You also receive the following concessions with this parking permit:

parking for up to three hours in restricted no-parking zones (signs 286, 290)
Parking in traffic-calmed areas under certain conditions
Parking in residents' parking spaces
Free parking in paid parking zones

The orange parking permit:

This parking permit is issued to severely disabled people who do not meet the requirements for the blue parking permit. However, the requirements are still met.

With this parking permit, you are not allowed to park in the disabled parking spaces. However, you have the following concessions:

parking for up to three hours in restricted no-parking zones (signs 286, 290)
Parking in traffic-calmed areas under certain conditions
Parking in residents' parking spaces
Free parking in paid parking zones

The white parking permit:

This parking permit is issued to people who have temporary (up to 6 months) functional limitations of the lower limbs. They receive the same concessions as the blue parking permit.

Prerequisites

For the blue parking permit:

You are exceptionally disabled and the mark "aG" is noted in your severely disabled person's pass
Or you are blind and the mark "Bl" is noted on your severely disabled person's pass
Or you are severely disabled with bilateral amelia or phocomelia or comparable functional impairments

For the orange parking permit:

You are severely disabled with the G and B signs and
- a degree of disability (GdB) of at least 80 for functional disorders of the lower limbs alone (and the lumbar spine, insofar as these affect the ability to walk)
or you are severely disabled with the G and B signs and
- a GdB of at least 70 for functional disorders of the lower limbs alone (and the lumbar spine, insofar as these affect the ability to walk) and
- at the same time a GdB of at least 50 for functional disorders of the heart or respiratory organs
or you are severely disabled and suffer from Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis if you have a GdB of at least 60 for these conditions
or you are severely disabled with an artificial anus and at the same time an artificial urinary diversion, if you have a GdB of at least 70

For the white parking permit:

You suffer from severe functional limitations of the lower limbs due to an illness, operation or accident
You can only travel short distances due to the functional restrictions
The restriction is only temporary (up to 6 months)

special notes for Administrative District Harz

For the blue parking permit

You are exceptionally disabled and the mark "aG" is noted on your severely disabled person's pass
or you are blind and the mark "Bl" is noted on your severely disabled person's pass
or you are severely disabled with bilateral amelia or phocomelia or comparable functional impairments

For the orange parking permit

You are severely disabled with the G and B signs and
- a GdB of at least 70 for functional disorders of the lower limbs alone (and the lumbar spine, insofar as these affect the ability to walk) and
- at the same time a GdB of at least 50 for functional disorders of the heart or respiratory organs (RN 134)
or you are severely disabled and suffer from Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis if you have a GdB of at least 60 (RN 135)
or you are severely disabled with an artificial anus and artificial urinary diversion, if you have a GdB of at least 70 (RN 136)
or you are severely disabled and, according to a medical assessment, are to be treated in the same way as the group of people listed in paragraphs 134 to 136

For the white parking permit

You suffer from severe functional limitations of the lower limbs due to an illness, operation or accident
You can only travel short distances due to functional limitations
The restriction is only temporary (up to 6 months)

Required documents

for the "blue parking permit": a photograph (newer photo, without headgear, dimensions: 35 x 45 mm)
for authorised representatives: written power of attorney and identity card of the applicant (also in certified copy)
