Applying for a permit for events in public traffic areas

Description

If you wish to hold an event in the public street space, you must apply for a permit.

The following are examples of events on public roads

bicycle races
street festivals
markets

Prerequisites

You must take out event liability insurance.

Required documents

Route and time schedule in A4 format The route should preferably be marked with a black pen and arrows. In town crossings, the street names must also be indicated, unless the route follows the main road and is unambiguous.
Copy of event liability insurance
Proof of exemption from liability.

Fees (costs)

Fee: 10,20 - 767,00 EUR
Payment in advance: No
Decision on a permit with the exception of the permit pursuant to Section 29 (3) StVO in accordance with the StVO

Fee: 767,00 - 2301,00 EUR
Payment in advance: No
for larger events with exceptionally high administrative costs

Deadlines

Application Deadline: 6 Weeks
You must submit the application at least 6 weeks before the event.

If the event takes place in several districts or independent cities: Contact the state administration office.
If the event is taking place in several federal states: Contact the federal state in which the event begins.
