Landscape protection includes all measures for the protection and maintenance of a section of the earth's surface (landscape). In order to protect landscapes, certain parts can be declared landscape protection areas or quiet zones. Furthermore, certain measures that have an impact on the landscape can be prohibited by the authorities in a nature conservation official procedure.
