Applying for a special use permit for roads outside a built-up area
Description
Roads serve the purpose of movement and transportation. This is known as public use. If you want to use a road outside of public use, you need a special use permit. This can be for example for
- a festive event
- a rally
- a cycle race
- a sporting event
- film and television recordings
Who you apply to for the special use permit depends on where the special use is to take place. The regional road construction authority is responsible for rural roads and the relevant highway company for freeways.
If you have already obtained an exemption and permit for a more extensive use, you do not need a special use permit.
In order for the special use to be approved, you must ensure that
- the public supply is at most briefly impaired
- temporarily erected facilities
- are approved separately
- are safe
- you are liable for any damage caused
Permission is granted for a limited period or revoked and may be subject to conditions and requirements.
- Objection
- Action before the administrative court
There are no indications or special features.
