Apply for appointment as a tax consultant

Description

If you would like to work as a tax consultant in Saxony-Anhalt in the future, you will need to be officially appointed by the Saxony-Anhalt Chamber of Tax Consultants.

In addition to passing the tax consultant examination or aptitude test (or exemption from the tax consultant examination), your personal suitability will determine whether you are appointed to the position.

Prerequisites

You will be appointed as a tax consultant if

You have passed the tax consultant examination or aptitude test or have been exempted from the tax consultant examination,
you are living in good financial circumstances,
you have not lost the ability to hold public office as a result of a criminal conviction,
you are not engaged in any activity that is incompatible with your profession (e.g. as an employee in another profession or as a tradesman),
you have confirmation of cover from a professional liability insurer (for employees: Proof of inclusion in the employer's liability insurance)
you are not prevented from practicing your profession as a tax consultant for health reasons.

Required documents

Certificate of passing the tax consultant examination or aptitude test or exemption from the tax consultant examination (certified copy)
passport photo
Certificate of good conductfor submission to an authority (§ 30 para. 5 BZRG) - for submission to the Chamber of Tax Consultants
Proof of sufficient professional liability insurance
Form for the declaration of duties
for lawyers, auditors or sworn accountants additionally:
- Certificate from the professional organization that there are no obstacles to appointment (certificate in accordance with Section 34 (4) sentence 2 DVStB)

Fees (costs)

EUR 180,00

Deadlines

Immediately after your appointment, you must set up and work professionally, otherwise the Chamber of Tax Consultants will revoke your appointment.

Legal remedy

An appeal against the refusal of appointment as a tax consultant is admissible before the tax court.

Procedure

The application for appointment must be made using the officially prescribed form.
Submit the completed form and the application documents to the Chamber of Tax Consultants and transfer the fee for processing the application.
The Chamber of Tax Consultants will check whether you meet the requirements and decide on your application.
The appointment is made by issuing a certificate.
