Applying for planning permission to erect a system

Description

Before you can erect an installation that requires approval, you need a building permit.

To do this, you submit a building application to the responsible lower building supervisory authority. Depending on the project, you may need the support of an authorized draftsman (e.g. civil engineer or architect).

Building permits are issued on application for the construction, modification and change of use of structures in accordance with §§ 62 and 63 of the Building Code. The application must be made in writing in 2 copies.

Complete building application
Building project complies with public law regulations
If not, you can apply for deviations with the building application

Fees (costs)

The costs depend on the following factors:

The time and effort involved in checking your building application
Expected costs of the construction work

at least € 50

Fees for a building permit for every €500 or part thereof of the chargeable construction value = €5

Fees incurred are charged depending on the construction project on the basis of the Construction Fees Ordinance of the State of Saxony-Anhalt.

Deadlines

Period of Validity: 3 Years
You must start construction work within 3 years. Otherwise the building permit will lose its validity. This also applies if you interrupt the construction work for longer than 2 years. You can extend the deadline by 1 year. To do this, you must apply for an extension.

Processing time

The building supervisory authority will decide on your building application within 3 months. The deadline begins with the confirmed date of receipt.

Exception: The authority can extend the deadline by a maximum of 2 months if there is an important reason. If the deadline is extended, you will be informed by the responsible lower building supervisory authority, stating the reasons and the expected date of the decision.

Procedure

You can apply for a building permit for the construction of an installation electronically via the online service or in paper form using the form.

Proceed as follows when using the form:

Complete the form.
Add the required building documents.
Submit the application documents to the responsible lower building supervisory authority.
If necessary, the lower building supervisory authority will ask you to make an advance fee payment.
Make the advance payment.
If documents are missing or there are other ambiguities, you will be asked to resolve these ambiguities.
In this case, submit the missing or amended documents or the clarification.
The lower building supervisory authority will check your application and involve the municipality and the necessary authorities.
You will then receive the building permit and a notification of fees.
Pay the fees.

Further information

If you have a building permit, you must submit a notice of commencement of construction to the lower building supervisory authority at least one week before the start of construction.
