Description

The Chamber of Engineers in Saxony-Anhalt is a corporation under public law.

As an engineer, you can register in a list of the Chamber of Engineers.

The following lists are maintained by the Chamber of Engineers:

"simple" membership
Consulting Engineers
Engineers entitled to a building template
Persons entitled to proof of stability
Expert
- Publicly appointed and sworn experts
- Recognized experts of the Chamber of Engineers Saxony-Anhalt
- Certified experts according to DIN ISO/IEC 17024
Interested parties
Professional indemnity insured
for other engineers for whom special qualifications are required for reasons of public safety and order, e.g. list of specialist engineers, energy experts, SiGeKo list ...

Depending on the list, you must meet various requirements for registration.

Membership offers you some advantages, e.g. further education and training, advice on business start-ups or representation of interests in professional policy issues.

In addition, you will receive an EU-wide valid engineering certificate.

Prerequisites

You have successfully completedyour studies in a technical and scientific discipline after at least 6 standard semesters of study (see Engineering Act of the State of Saxony-Anhalt)
You may use the professional title "Engineer"
You live or work in Saxony-Anhalt

Depending on the list, you must meet additional requirements:

Member

Proof of professional indemnity insurance

Consulting Engineers

At least 2 years of professional experience
Proof of professional indemnity insurance
Proof of personal responsibility and independence
Note: Every consulting engineer of the Saxony-Anhalt Chamber of Engineers is a compulsory member of the pension scheme if you have not yet reached the age of 62.

Engineers entitled to a building template

Basically a completed degree in building construction or civil engineering
At least 2 years of professional experience in the design planning of buildings

Persons entitled to proof of stability

Basically a completed degree in building construction or civil engineering or in the field of architecture
At least 3 years of professional experience in the field of structural design

Expert
