Apply for a driver's license card transcript

Description

In case of loss or theft of your old driver's license, you will need a replacement. If, after obtaining your driving licence and after your old driving licence has been issued, you have moved your residence to another district or another independent city, an extract from the local driving licence register (so-called index card copy) of the issuing authority is required.

This "flashcard copy" is requested ex officio from the issuing authority by the driving licence authority responsible for your current place of residence.

The index card copy is also required for the exchange of an old German driving license (grey or pink) for an EU driving license.

The file card copy is sent directly to the driving license authority of the applicant's current place of residence on behalf of the applicant.
