Description

This list is kept by the bodies responsible for training (e.g. Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Chamber of Crafts). It contains all recognised training occupations and sets out all the essential contents of the vocational training contract.

After concluding the contract between the contracting parties, you submit an application for registration to the regionally competent authority. The competent authority verifies the legality of the contract and then confirms the registration of the vocational training relationship.

The vocational training contract must contain certain minimum information for this purpose.

Names and addresses of the contracting parties
Aim of the training, as well as factual and temporal structure of the training
Start and duration of training
Duration of the probationary period (minimum one month and maximum four months)
Place of education
Training measures outside the company
Payment and amount of training allowance
Duration of regular working hours
Duration of leave
Conditions under which the contract can be terminated
Other agreements
Signatures of all contracting parties

When registering the training relationship, a shortened training period can be agreed if previous vocational training such as vocational school or a basic vocational training year has been completed. The exact regulations for this depend on your federal state and can be obtained from the competent authority.

If the trainee is not yet of legal age at the time of conclusion of the contract, the consent of the legal representative must be obtained for the conclusion of the contract. In principle, both parents are entitled to represent the child jointly, in exceptional cases one parent or a guardian.

Requirements

Entry in the register requires that the vocational training contract complies with the Vocational Training Act and the training regulations.
It can only be trained in recognised training occupations. The exact name of the training occupation is entered, if necessary with a specialization.
The training staff and the training centre must be personally and professionally suitable.
If previous vocational training is taken into account: previous vocational training recognised in the respective federal state
In the case of minors: According to the Youth Employment Protection Act, a young person may only be employed if he or she has been examined by a doctor within the last 14 months and the trainer has a certificate issued by this doctor.

Which documents are required?

Copy of the contract or copy
A complete factual and chronological breakdown in accordance with the training regulations
In the case of shortened training period: copies of the relevant documents (e.g. school reports)
In the case of trainees who are not yet of legal age at the beginning of the training: Copy of the medical certificate of the initial examination

the Chamber of Crafts for vocational training in occupations of the Crafts Code,
the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for vocational training in non-craft trades,
the Chamber of Agriculture for vocational training in agricultural and rural housekeeping professions,
the Chamber of Lawyers, Patent Attorneys and Notaries as well as the Notary Fund for the Vocational Training of Specialists in the Administration of Justice,
the Chamber of Auditors and Tax Advisors for the vocational training of specialists in the field of auditing and tax consulting,
the Chamber of Doctors, Dentists, Veterinarians and Pharmacists for the vocational training of specialists in the field of health professions.

Process flow

Once the training contract has been concluded, you must have it registered as a training company.

You send the application for registration, including all the necessary documents, to the competent authority
The competent authority shall verify all the information and then issue a certificate of registration for both Contracting Parties
After signing the vocational training contract and registering with the competent authority, you, as the training company, must immediately hand over a copy to the trainee and his legal representative

If there are any changes to the contract during the training, you must notify them immediately.
