If a deceased person has been inherited by several persons, then the law does not assign different objects to each individual. All heirs participate with their share in the assets of the testator, in the totality of the property. The estate belongs jointly to the heirs. No co-heir may dispose of an object alone. The cooperation of all heirs is always necessary. All heirs together form the so-called community of heirs.

Inheritance division
If the estate is to be divided, the heirs must agree on the division. If no agreement is reached, this must be clarified in the inheritance dispute. This must be applied for at the probate court. The objects of the estate or their proceeds are distributed among the co-heirs in such a way that each receives as much as corresponds to his share in the community of heirs.
